North Richland Hills: a leak
by the curb, and a head moved.

This North Richland Hills system had a leaking pipe beside a large in-ground box near the curb, and several heads that were low or broken, so the lawn had bad coverage. Landon dug out and repaired the pipe and moved a head to improve the coverage. The total was $120.

Two problems, one visit

The leak and the coverage problem were separate, and both cost the owner. A leaking pipe wastes water whether or not anyone sees it. Low and broken heads waste it a different way, putting it in the wrong place so some of the lawn goes short.

Fixing only the leak would have left the poor coverage.

What was done

The trench beside the box was opened to expose the leaking pipe (first two photos), and the broken section was cut out and rejoined with new couplings (third photo). A head was moved to improve coverage. The three photos span twelve minutes, 8:56 to 9:08 a.m.

Can a sprinkler pipe leak and poor coverage be fixed in the same visit?

Usually, yes. On this North Richland Hills job the pipe repair and moving a head for better coverage were done together for $120.
